The US-Mexico border aviation corridor is known to law enforcement as Iron Sky — the airborne equivalent of the Iron River of southbound weapons trafficking. Private aircraft, ultra-light aircraft, and drones move narcotics northbound and cash and weapons southbound across a 1,954-mile border that is impossible to monitor comprehensively.
